We recently visited the Hobart Zoo and booked the "5 Encounters in 60 Minutes" package, and we cannot say enough good things about our guide, Robyn. From the moment we started, Robyn’s passion for the animals and her deep knowledge of the zoo was evident. Managing five different encounters in just one hour is no small feat, but Robyn made the entire experience feel seamless, relaxed, and incredibly personal. We never felt rushed; instead, we felt like we were getting a "behind-the-scenes" look with a true expert. Why Robyn made our day: • Expert Knowledge: She had an answer for every question we threw at her and shared fascinating stories about the individual personalities of the animals we met. • Animal Welfare First: It was clear how much the animals trust and love her, which made the interactions feel ethical and authentic. • The Personal Touch: She knew exactly where to position us for the best views and photos, ensuring we walked away with memories to last a lifetime. We laughed so much, we spoke so much and she genuinely wanted to know our story and shared hers. If you are visiting the Hobart Zoo, we highly recommend requesting Robyn. We visited recently whilst in Hobart and I think this is one of the best small zoos ever. There are plenty of animals to see, mostly Australian, but a few exotic ones. There's lots of picnic tables for families to enjoy their lunch and plenty for the kids to do. The aquarium was very interesting. It was easy to buy the tickets on-line but you can get them on-site just as easily. It wasn't a very busy day as the kids had mostly all returned to school. It's only about 30 minutes from Hobart and easy to find. We had a very enjoyable time there.

We had the best time!! We booked the 5 encounters in 60 minutes and Karinda who took us around was incredible!!! It was amazing to see the training, care and love provided to the animals. Getting to do the Tassie Devil experience was such a special way to encounter my favourite animal ❤️ We spent 3.5 hours there and had bought you enter and encounters online which was easy to do. Heaps of animals to see and we had plenty of time to see them all and have some lunch! 🐒 Highly recommend 🐨

Absolutely do the animal experience. Staff were absolutely lovely. The owner Stuart was there and he was so lovely and made us happy to support his vision of the place. Great number of animals and park is well kept and very tidy. Happy birthday Stuart and thanks for making our day fantastic!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this location! It is well-kept, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, enhancing our overall experience. We highly recommend it to everyone! There are many activities to enjoy, such as petting animals, feeding animals, and bird feeding (like budgerigar feeding). My kids loved these activities. Additionally, they offer information sessions. There is a small aquarium and a newly opened soft play area for kids, which is fantastic.
