We are excited to offer home school learners the chance to step out of the classroom and into the wild with our Conservation Education Excursion Lessons.
Designed specifically for home-schooled students, this hands-on experience brings the Australian Curriculum: Biological Science to life through real-world conservation, animal encounters, and engaging, curriculum-linked learning, whilst providing an opportunity for learners to connect with each other. Our guided and engaging sessions are led by our qualified and experienced Conservation Education Teacher where students will build knowledge, scientific skills, curiosity, and a deeper respect for the natural world.

Solving Habitat Mysteries
Recommended Ages: 5 to 10
Young learners become habitat detectives! Students will match animals to clues found in their environments before heading out to identify real animals in their homes. Along the way, they’ll discover what animals need to survive and thrive.

Who Keeps the Ecosystem Together?
Recommended Ages: 5 to 10
Who eats who—and why does it matter? Students explore food chains and the vital role of keystone species like the Tasmanian Devil.
Includes: Tasmanian Devil feeding experience.
Conservation in Action
ecommended Ages: 10 to 16
Discover how wildlife parks contribute to global conservation every day. Students will learn about partnerships with organisations like Proyecto Tití, the Zambian Carnivore Programme and the Save the Tasmanian Devil Foundation—and how changes made here in Tasmania can help animals worldwide.

Aquatic Ecosystems: Partners, Predators or Prey?
Recommended Ages: 10 to 16
Explore underwater ecosystems inspired by the Great Barrier Reef. Students will observe predator-prey relationships and symbiotic partnerships in action, learning which species can coexist—and why.

Solving the Mystery of the White Lion
Recommended Ages: 12 to 16
Dive into genetics and inherited traits through the fascinating story of our white lion. Students will explore DNA, learn how traits are passed on, and uncover what makes each individual unique.
