NDIS Tailored Animal Experience – $395 per participant & carer
Hobart Zoo and Aquarium is proud to offer a tailored three-hour experience designed specifically for NDIS participants and their carers, priced at $395 per pair. This program provides meaningful, guided interactions with a variety of animals in a safe, supportive, and fully accessible environment.
As a world-class, all-weather destination, HZAA features a 900-square-metre indoor facility equipped with Tasmania’s largest aquarium, a climate-controlled café and gift shop, and a spacious indoor play area. Our spaces are designed for year-round comfort and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming environment for participants of all abilities.
🐾 What’s Included:

Zoo admission for the whole day for both participant and carer

One-hour guided tour of the zoo, including budgie feeding and barnyard animals

Your choice of 5 unique animal experiences, including:
Meerkat Mingle, walk a snake, feed a lion, Pat a wombat, feed a Tasmanian devil, or meet our primates -
Morning tea provided

Participants must arrange their own transport to and from the zoo

At present, we can only accept participants who are plan-managed
- We are currently only accepting participants aged 8 years and over for programs and research
Whether it’s feeding a kangaroo, meeting a reptile, or simply sitting peacefully with an animal, we create moments that matter—on your terms.
💡 Who Can Participate?
This program is open to plan-managed NDIS participants aged 8 years and older, regardless of ability. Sessions can be tailored for individuals, support workers, school groups, or carers.
We welcome participants with autism, mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, and other diverse needs. Our staff are trained to provide respectful, supportive, and inclusive care.
📅 Book Your Experience
NDIS Wildlife Sessions are available Monday to Friday during school terms and by request on weekends. Each session is a 3-hour personalised experience for each participant and their carer, priced at $395 for both. Sessions can be booked weekly, fortnightly, or casually.
