NDIS Wildlife Experience – Important Booking Information

To enjoy your NDIS Wildlife Experience at Hobart Zoo & Aquarium, a gift card must be purchased first.

Once payment is received, you will be issued with a gift card via email. This gift card functions just like a voucher and is required to redeem your wildlife experience. It confirms your booking and can be redeemed at a later date once you are ready to choose your experience day. We have exceptional availability!

Please Note:

Experience dates are not selected at the time of payment. You may contact us via phone or email to book your preferred date once you have your NDIS Wildlife Experience Gift Card.
NDIS deliveries are only available on Saturdays between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
NDIS Wildlife Experience Gift Card are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
We recommend booking your date at least 7 days in advance.

NDIS Tailored Animal Experience – $395 per participant & carer

Hobart Zoo and Aquarium is proud to offer a tailored three-hour experience designed specifically for NDIS participants and their carers, priced at $395 per pair. This program provides meaningful, guided interactions with a variety of animals in a safe, supportive, and fully accessible environment.

What’s Included:

Zoo admission for the whole day for both participant and carer
One-hour guided tour of the zoo, including budgie feeding and barnyard animals
Your choice of 5 unique animal experiences, including:
Meerkat Mingle, walk a snake, feed a lion, Pat a wombat, feed a Tasmanian devil, or meet our primates
Morning tea provided
Participants must arrange their own transport to and from the zoo
At present, we can only accept participants who are plan-managed
We are currently only accepting participants aged 8 years and over for programs and research

Whether it’s feeding a kangaroo, meeting a reptile, or simply sitting peacefully with an animal, we create moments that matter—on your terms.

💡 Who Can Participate?

This program is open to plan-managed NDIS participants aged 8 years and older, regardless of ability. Sessions can be tailored for individuals, support workers, school groups, or carers.

We welcome participants with autism, mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, and other diverse needs. Our staff are trained to provide respectful, supportive, and inclusive care.

Sessions run 7 days a week, including weekends and school holidays.

Whether you’d like to book weekly, fortnightly, or casually, we’re here to make wildlife accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
